Incorrect Order Delivered, No Refund — Really Swiggy?

Had a disappointing experience with Swiggy recently. I ordered the Chocolate Titanic Sundae, clearly described on the menu as having chocolate ice cream, chocolate mousse, truffle cake, nuts, cherries, and chocolate sauce.

The delivered item was missing multiple components — no cherries, no chocolate mousse, and instead of chocolate ice cream, it had vanilla. This is clearly a case of the wrong/incomplete item being delivered.

I raised the issue immediately. The resolution time went from 6–8 hours to 72 hours, and after waiting patiently, I got a response saying no refund is applicable and that it’s neither Swiggy’s nor the restaurant’s fault.

Extremely disappointed with the service and the refusal to acknowledge a clear mismatch between what was advertised and what was delivered.

Same experience. Their customer care respond like scammy money making robots. And don't want to give user a good experience, think like human. Only focused on money making.

I had an issue with the order and mailed 5 different ways asking for redelivery or refund and when they were not ready for both, I suggested to refund on their platform as coupon or wallet money so money is spent on their platform. But their standard reply is no refund or redelivery, even with escalation team.

Their responses really do feel robotic and stick to the same template replies. This kind of attitude is why so many people are losing confidence in their service.

I have a similar issue with Swiggy Instamart. It's been almost one and a half months since I had purchased an idli maker from Instamart.I have opened the product after 2days and found some parts are missing in the box, i.e., side holders and whistle. Without that it can't be used or lifted. I called the customer care but they are good for nothing, they all say the recorded dialogue. Since one month I have sent almost 20 emails but in every mail they are responding to the same dialogue that we cannot return or refund the amount. Then I asked atleast you send me the missing parts so that I can use the item. But now they are not responding anything regarding missing parts. I have raised my complaint to NCH(national consumer helpline) and they have pushed to the Instamart escalation team, but again they have responded the same thing that they cannot refund whereas I am asking for the missing parts. My idli maker is laying as it is with no use. Instamart is only making the money but their customer support is very bad and they don't have a proper number. Where you can call them and explain your issue.

It’s disappointing how often genuine issues get dismissed, even after we provide all the details and wait patiently for a resolution. You’ve already done the right things — contacting support, emailing, and even escalating through NCH. The least they could do is send the missing parts if they’re refusing a return/refund.

I hope your case gets resolved soon. These recurring issues show how badly Swiggy/Instamart needs to fix their customer support and quality checks. Thanks for sharing your experience — it helps highlight how widespread the problem is.
