Income Tax payers don't mind paying taxes
As long as they or even non-IncomeTax payers don't have to suffer much due to the corruption and/or poor planning/execution of cities, policies and more.

Well... the kids in those schools and colleges are ours... so they do care about the kids of the taxpayers.

That's correct.
But imagine the plight of people who suffer more than they should, not just because of the excessive rains but due to corruption and/or poor planning/infrastructure of the cities.
