Got an email from payroll team that Income Tax dept. has flagged some employees ITR of our org. Seems false claims and deductions. Giving one time opportunity to rectify and re file ITR of last 3 years to avoid further action!
Has this happened to you too or its just me? Suggestions? 🥺
Ignore such mail until you receive a scrutiny from ITR. Also, mark level 1 scrutiny as everything is correct. Wait until the IT department asks for the proofs, then ultimately file a revised ITR and pay whatever is correct. Filing fakes tax returns for the last six years, good luck

My dad, my wife and most of my family is into finance or atleast a CA, I'm the only engineer in the family. I've heard plenty of cases where false claims like these have led to firing of the employee or at the least a 200% penalty of the false claim that is made.

Anyone got messages from income tax dept for section 80 declarations for past 3 years? My ITR got processed successfully but then also I have got 3 messages today for verification of section 80 claims of last 3 years.
