In Tough Times, Perspective Matters…

There’s been a lot of chatter lately about the current sentiment in TCS — from delayed hikes to stringent rules. I completely understand the disappointment. Many of us are navigating financial pressures, personal responsibilities, and career aspirations that feel momentarily paused.

But here's a thought — a perspective, not a verdict.

During the pandemic and uncertain global shifts, TCS stood by many of us — offering salary advances, stability when the world felt upside down, and emotional backing when families were struggling. While other companies were cutting jobs, we had a support system.

Yes, today might feel tough. But perhaps, this is the time to give back — with patience, with resilience. Maybe this is where our loyalty is tested, not just by our tenure, but by our trust in long-term vision. Good times may delay, but they do come.

I know this opinion might not sit well with everyone. And I respect that — everyone’s journey is different. But if even a few of us can hold on with hope, maybe we can help lift the morale around us too.

It’s okay to be frustrated. But it’s also powerful to be hopeful.

It's not only about hike, from last 2 years they are deducting QVA unethically. When I joined 3 years back I got almost 100% QVA but now they are paying only 25%. This amount is huge for every one already inflation is so high. So many people joined TCS bcoz it is having good employee friendly policies and medical benefits, job security and flexible work culture. They said by 2025 only 25% work force will be working from office but now they want 100% and linked to QVA unethically, medical insurance they increased premium exponentially and also added copay unethically so every one need to pay atleast 5-15% from their pocket, before 3 years for EP there is first work anniversary increment but in April 2022 they kept new policy and removed it unethically, promotion are delayed, hike % is peanuts, Introduced 35 days bench policy and unethically removing people and dictating and keeping pressure, if icontinue there are so many other things, please check facts before posting. Every one frustrated looking for right opportunity to quit tcs. This is my perspective hope others agree with this 😄

HR or PR arrived above.

Zero logical reason to make everyone come to office for 5 days a week. Wasting 3/4 hours in commute everyday. Only logical reason is control and power flexing.

QVA deduction among senior associates are root cause of employee uncertainty meanwhile freshers with digital & prime are getting salary which a normal TCSer would take 10yrs to reach..

Imagine someone who completed 10yrs of service in this company with most A bands & timely promotion reaching 11LPA & then he onboards a fresher into his/her team who is earning the same amount..

Now before you point at skillsets or talent.. There are a lot of reasons why a person don't switch..

But we these latest policies everyone has a equal opportunity.. "you don't want to work because it's not aligning with your skillset- you are OUT" "you want only development project - you are OUT" "you don't wanna come to office - you are OUT"

The question is TCS CEO doesn't have respect for TCS and tcser, he keeps on adding a sity policy every now and then ..,.has demolished the work culture..... created the fear... negativity.....for whole work culture.... that is reason tcs is suffering.....

@ProperSonar96 Just one point - if times are really so bad, how is company paying hefty dividends every quarter? If times are bad it should reflect not only employees but at the same time on investors as well. In an adverse economic environment every one suffers one way or other.

Lau** na du aise logo ko, Hike nahi de sakte, accept karo aur humble approach rakh kar bolo, na ki cho** panti, chalo paise nahi diye theek, Sari policies barobar Business Uncertainties ke time pe hi kyu? First company should learn to stood by their Employees and then employees will. It is two way but some ppl irrespective give godly treatment to company! Arrey bhai kitna chatoge

The only thing is those who want to switch from TCS but unable to switch due to global market uncertainties will have to wait and watch the situation and those who doesn't want just wait for the good time that's it .......

QVA hurts the most , you just can’t deduct a significant chunk from CTC and expect us to be normal.

And less said about the QVA the better. Cutting lakhs of rupees mercilessly every year. Zero explanation given
