In the middle of something exciting but a bit challenging (need your advice)

Hey GrapeViners! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™m currently pursuing my PGP at Jio Institute (Reliance Foundation), which is still in its early years but has some big ambitions to rival top institutes in India. However, the reality is that fewer companies are approaching the institute for hiring right now. ๐Ÿš€ But, Iโ€™m determined to create my own luck and land a role that Iโ€™ll truly enjoy and thrive in! ๐Ÿ’ช

Iโ€™m flexible and open to roles in Product Management, Business Strategy, Sales, or Marketing, and I believe my background makes me a good fit for any of these areas.

Now, here's where I need your advice โ€“ how do I figure out what salary I should ask for when HR reaches out? ๐Ÿค”

A quick peek into my background:

Fashion Technologist with 2 years of experience as a Category Manager in one of Indiaโ€™s leading retail brands, where I learned everything from inventory and vendor management to business operations. Oh, and I even got recognized for going above and beyond in my role! ๐Ÿ†

Currently building a strong foundation in Marketing at Jio Institute, expanding my skill set for the corporate world. ๐Ÿ“š

With my experience, skills, and the knowledge I'm gaining, Iโ€™m trying to figure out whatโ€™s a fair salary to ask for. I'm aiming to secure a solid role before my graduation in March 2025, and I want to make sure Iโ€™m setting realistic expectations while being competitive in the market.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or insights? Iโ€™d love to hear from anyone whoโ€™s been through something similar or knows the current market trends! ๐Ÿ™
