In TCS from last couple of years, when you raise H1B request in ultimatix, that doesn’t guarantee you that actually H1B is filled for you.

After you raise request and manager/RMG approves it in ultimatix, still in the back end your account send the details and budget to GMS for whom (out of all the nominees) to file in real and for whom not to. For whom the budget is allocated by account level they participate in lottery.At the end for those, the filing didn’t happen they will get same rejected status in ultimatix similarly for those who got rejected in actual lottery processing.

Question is why management do so !! It’s simple . When someone gets picked up by H1B and your project don’t have much onsite positions, they can’t send you onsite. And you will start asking release to search the opportunity where it’s actually available.And your account looses you and the billing.

So to keep you tied up with the project, there is now a days this H1B illusion started.
