In my new office, nobody talks to me
I'm a new joinee in my organization, which is a big corporate office and in my team alone there are 60+ members. I'm a fresher and only another guy joined with me.
I'm extremely introverted myself, I also have social anxiety so I am very nervous to talk with strangers. But once I befriend someone I talk to them like there's no tomorrow.
Thing is, all my coworkers are seniors and none of them are talking with me. It's been a week since I got to my new desk, and none of the people sitting beside/near me had a single word with me.
Infact no one except the another guy joined with me, and my reporting manager, has talked to me.
Whenever I discuss about this to my friends they always say, well you have to talk first.
Which I know, but I'm not sure what to talk or how to initiate a convo. So please tell me tips so I can gel with them without looking like a weirdo
Why d u even want to talk to ppl from office.. get work done and get t f out of there.. yearn to talk to them only if they are a mature and understanding older women... or a dumb younger one... Those 2 are exceptions..

First of all, 1 week without mingling is totally normal. Usually managers should help break the ice with a team intro but not everyone does it.
Just come up with some questions/doubt related to work.
Ask your reporting manager who can help.
Just go to that person, say hi, your name and that you are new. And that xyz manager said you could help me with this, can you please help? And continue conversation from there.
Ask chatgpt to come up with conversation starters based on your situation and work.
Also the new year is coming, a simple greeting and wish would do wonders.
As a fresher, new joinee, you have the excuse to talk to anyone. Use it.
Company is paying you to work. Work and earn money. With money build your asset.
