Improving English communication skills

I feel that my English communication skills—especially in a corporate environment—need improvement. Can anyone suggest effective ways or resources to help me get better at communicating clearly and confidently at work

Read books - builds vocab.
Talk to yourself before a mirror - helps boost confidence and you can clearly see how you act while speaking (stuttering becomes more apparent).
Iterate everything you say in your mind and make it as crisp as possible - next time you say something similar, it'll sound better. Speak in english as much as you can. Take your time, formulate the sentence in your mind and articulate when you feel it's good enough. This inevitably means you'll take a lot of time and intermittent pauses initially, but fluency will soon improve.

Remember. We learn english. We come to know english. None of us inherently understand it. It's a process. Takes years...even decades.

If your speech doesn't sound crisp - it's because you were not able to sort your thoughts out before speaking. So, check that first.

Also, grammar and punctuation (YES, even while speaking) would make you sound more professional.

Thanks a lot, can you suggest some books, I love reading but after sometime I lose interest in self help books.

Nothing in particular. If self-help gets boring, go for some thrillers. The point is to get acquainted with grammatically correct complete sentences in english, instead of phrases like "me only", "myself abc", "i am eating breakfast".
