Imp: Severance and new project allocation

I am being released from my current project on 19th September due to headcount issues. I wanted to check: 1. Severance Pay – Will I be eligible for it in this situation? 2. New Allocation – Is it possible to get assigned to another project within 35 days of release?

Initially I thought it's done and over but Yes it's possible that you may get allocated to a project within 35 days. My grade is C3A and on the bench since August 18th. Have got calls for project allocation and finally today my project is confirmed and allocated.

Will they give a 3-month notice after 35 days, or will they ask me to resign?

Hey dont panic. Answer to your qns:

  1. No severance pay is for people who are terminated or asked to resign from the organisation and not for those being released.
Also severance pay totally depends on your HR Manager and the management on how they decide to proceed with your release from the organisation.

  2. It depends on your skill set, active projects, project requirement for associates, and account/unit situation. Right now all projects are releasing people to cut head count. So unless and until you have very relevant skill set and a project has spot opening the chances of getting assignment greatly dependent on fate.
