Honestly, it makes a lot of sense, considering their target users. Let’s say I pay a lac worth of credit card bills(1 lac cred coins) , I would definitely expect some reward in return. 1 starbucks coffee and croissant for a lac of bill paid via CRED is a very reasonable ask. Atleast, the coins wouldn’t be completely useless in that case. Their target user persona is definitely the kind who visits starbucks/third wave. Having said that, they’re already drowning in losses, and this offer isn’t so attractive for me so as to get me to use CRED. The best it can do is retain existing users.
