Trending @Capgemini; I'm working as a Senior BA from Invent and working on an internal project. My client manager was asking me about my career aspirations.

So ,I'm still trying to figure out what's next. I feel my calling is in a role that has closer association with Business side and something around team handling would be great. We called out some of my interest areas and he suggested engagement management is one of the areas alongside project management that I can explore now. However my line manager at Invent hasn't envisioned my career or made any check points in this.

So I'm confused whether I should plunge into engagement management side or not ?

What if after my project ends , my line manager doesn't let me pursue those roles ? Any suggestions

You should definitely plunge into engagement management. Don't wait for your line manager to decide your future. Take control of your career. If your line manager doesn't support you, find a new job where they value your aspirations.

I feel my line manager has no vision for what's next for my team. Yes, I've started my research around engagement management now. Planning to get some training and certifications for this year.

I don't think I could spill out his name 😁.
I'm from EDA risk and compliance team. However my work is nowhere around this.
