I’ve completed 3.5 years in my current role and am now eligible for the one-time IJP request to apply for promotion eligible role. I plan to initiate it as the current project is not promoting me but need clarity on one point:

If I set an "available from" date but don’t find a suitable project by then, will I still be released from my current project? Or can I continue until a new assignment is confirmed?

Would appreciate insights from anyone familiar with the process or policy.
