Igniting the recent SBI manager Kannada language row!

I was watching 'RBI Unlocked: Beyond the Rupee' on Hotstar and in Episode 5 titled 'Inclusion. Innovation. Impact' there were 2 instances where 2 officials say how it's important to convey the message to the last customer in a language they understand - they said it builds trust. These are current or ex employees of RBI holding high positions.

So to me it sounds a bit stupid to post an employee (a manager) who doesn't know the language in a sub-urb or rural branch. What do you guys think?
