If you really want to protest..
Well. IT industry doesn't come under the labor laws. So even if you protest on road, it won't have any legal standing. Sad. But true.
But we can still silently protest. Let's focus on other things. I agree that these things too are not much effective. But atleast will save your time & money.
-
Don't participate in ODC decoration for festivals. This thing doesn't have any impact on your appraisal & not on your job security. Don't spend your own money in decorating TCS' office.
-
Don't participate in any tata marathon. TCS associates participate in this in great number. This is marketing event for TCS. Why do TCS ppl need to pay joining fee if our own group is the sponsor?
-
Don't participate in fit for life or any other tcs social initiatives If you want to social service, let's do it with our choice & time. Why to do it under TCS banner?
-
Don't participate in any customer visit activity. If you have a presentation to make, do it. But don't get into singing, dancing or any other customer delight thing. At the time of layoff nobody would remember how happy customer was after seeing your dance for them.
Save you time, money & efforts. Use it for your training, family time & job search. Let TCS do it's branding with its own money.

Good idea.

First of all get the facts right
Any protest by anyone on road does not have any legal standing ... Law does not change based on protest.
We do protest just to bring press and limelight on the issue so that lot of people start talking about .

How come IT doesn’t come under labour law? It does actually but with certain nuances as per law 9 hours per day is mandatory and few things but no one can threaten u with your job
