This poll quietly assumes that housework is the wife’s responsibilty by default. Domestic help is more about time and workload than gender. Maybe the better question is how working couples manage household work together.
When both spouses are working, you should always hire a housemaid. Neither of you both will want to do housework after a full day of office work
The question makes it sound like hiring a housemaid is a bad thing.
Both of you have limited energy and time. You can choose which is more important and gives you higher ROI(security / peace of mind / career growth) for the family.
To be honest some hire maid even if the wife is not working. Just to ease things at home for her.
Housemaids are important especially after kids.
