I believe the promotion from CL 12 to 11 is in the hands of HR. They tell that to everyone at cl 12
As someone who has represented people in Hike and Promotion discussions for a few years now. It is somewhat true.. as a manager you can only recommend a names for promotion but the ultimate decision lies with Talent lead and HR based on factors such as MAL, capability growth and project Growth. Each project gets a limited number of slots and candidates are selected based on MAL and if someone has done exceptional contributions
Everything is in the hands of the people above you. It's just the talk about laziness and their efforts. We follow babu culture here ki huzoori types. Believe me. I am a guy who has access to multiple projects and their leaders. Everything is in their hands
How to handle this any suggestion ? I am working hard but not getting the expected outcomes
Upskill and leave. Nobody above you cares for you. You are just a datapoint for them while making decisions. You are responsible for your own life. So take charge.
HR only decides whether we have promotion this cycle or not.Managers decide who gets it.Managers need to send the nomination 2 months prior to the promotion cycle.If HR says we have budget for only 5 out 10 nominations you have shared then only top 5 will get it.
