Be bold and don’t be timid in asking it over email. Most of us take ourselves and our work for granted and don’t document our own day to achievements. Sometimes we need to nudge to get appreciations. In ideal world we should get it automatically if we are doing good work but doesn’t happen in real world. And escalation would come at flip of coin. So don’t hesitate in asking for a feedback over a email.
