I ve been told that it could take from 3 to upto 6 months to complete the whole process to place me onsite, how much time I can expect in good as well as worst case.

In the best case, expect around 2-3 months. In the worst case, it could extend to 6 months or more. Factors like managerial support and project requirements can influence this.

Back in days ICT were approved within weeks however now it may be 4-6 months.
