Yes we did at roveniemi. We were there for 4 nights, clouded on 2, nothing on one and the last night saw them. They are incredible but you also need to be ok with the extreme cold (we had a 5 year old who was very upset) it was -17 in the city and much lower when they take u out for the lights. Did lights, floating in the frozen lake, husky, reindeers , Santa village the works

I visited Iceland 2 months ago (end of October)

Beautiful place. Since it was winter and I was not confident to drive in frozen roads, we opted to book nicetravel.is 3 days package. It was the best decision.

We saw aurora 3 nights in a row.

  1. Aurora hunt bus at night from capital city.
  2. Hotel room in Hverageori (they wake us up at the middle of the night if aurora is visible)
  3. Return flight to Frankfurt (always book 1am flight with window seats)

Hope this helps.

Also if you go now, it’s better because you can see the volcano and its eruptions.
