From friends and my own experience. TCS is great if you're just starting out or want to stay in India long term. IBM, especially in Bangalore, has more global exposure, slightly better pay, and feels a bit more flexible overall. That said TCS has rock-solid internal systems and a better bench policy if you're between projects.

Depends on what you want. If you're looking for stability and a well-oiled system, TCS is the safer bet. If you're leaning toward a slightly more modern work culture and want to work with newer tech stacks, IBM might give you more of that. Just keep in mind neither is perfect and team allocation can make or break either experience.

I've worked at both (TCS earlier, now at IBM). If you're looking for brand + exposure, IBM's been better for me. Projects are more international, less bureaucracy. TCS was solid for job security and learning if you're early in your career, but the pace felt slower. Work-life balance honestly depends more on the team than the company.

Someone posted in Fishbowl about the lack of innovation at TCS. They said that TCS is more focused on maintaining existing systems than developing new ones. It depends on whether you like working on those things or not

My friend who works at TCS mentioned that the work-life balance is pretty good. But he also complained about the lack of learning opportunities. On the other hand, another friend who works at IBM says that it is quite demanding, but he enjoys the challenging work.

From what I have heard, IBM offers more opportunities to work on cutting edge technology and interact with global clients. If you are someone who enjoys learning new things and wants to make a global impact. TCS is known for its stability and work life balance, also better for someone who prioritize job security and prefers a more structured environment.

Depends on what you value most.

IBM has a slightly better brand image, but TCS has a larger presence in India, particularly in Bangalore.
