IBM Bench Policy - What is it Really?

Someone from IBM once said that the chances of getting redeployed depend on the demand for your skills. If you have skills that are in high demand, you are more likely to get redeployed quickly. On the other hand, if your skills are not in demand, it may be more difficult to find a new project.

One of my college senior who works at IBM mentioned that the company has a formal process for redeploying employees who are on the bench. The process typically involves assessing the employee's skills and experience, and then matching them with available projects.

Be proactive in finding a project. Network with other teams and managers to see if there are any opportunities that match your skills and experience.The bench is basically a place where u go to die, so get out of there as soon as possible
