I want to resign
I am 25M working in TCS for last 3.8 years. It is my first company. I have 12 LPA package innovator profile. I want to switch from here asap. I’m trying to switch but the major reason is the notice period the other companies don’t want to wait at all and I’m not interested in joining Infy, Wipro, etc and the work here is also now recurring and I am in a huge comfort zone. Plus the WFO restrictions, office timings, very less hike, no promotion all these things I am loosing the motivation day by day. I am very disciplined person who doesn’t require daily motivation to work but still I feel I have much more potential which I’m not utilising. I am skilled in python, JS, AI , Data. So far I have worked in 2 different projects. 1 internal and 1 client. I have decided to resign first and then apply for the next and no matter what I will not take back my resignation. There is a possibility that i might not get an offer during notice period. There might be a gap on my resume. etc.
Anyone who has any experience in putting resignation without offer or any gaps in career what would you advise? Am I doing correct ? I have enough runway to sustain. But the gap on my resume is the biggest issue about which I have no clue how corporate reacts to the employee with a gap.
Please provide some guidance. Thanks

Get an offer from any service based companies like infy which will accept your 90 days notice period and then look for better companies

Not OP, but can we do that ? Won't we will have to accept infy offer letter first and then can we not join after accepting it ?
Sorry if question sounds stupid, i am new and never applied elsewhere before. Thanks

Offer letter does not bind someone to join the organization, both parties the employer and employee can withdraw from the offer.
The current market conditions suggest that if you get an offer, it's better to take it and move forward with your resignation.
Many companies have put hiring on hold. So, unless you're financially stable and confident that your skills are in demand and not easily replaceable, it’s a risky move. If you fall into that category, then it’s a different situation.
Think twice before making any decision.
If you’ve made up your mind to resign, then focus more on improving your skills, preparing for interviews, and ensuring you meet the required attendance in your current project.
Once you land a new opportunity, you can make the switch smoothly.

Simply take release from current project and report to RMG. Notice period will be 5 days max.

Just do it
