I want to pursue Higher education in TCS

Hi Everyone I am working in TCS from last 2.5 years i am interested in data Artificial intelligence. but unfortunately i got project based on java. I tried so much to get release but that was not possible. Now I have decided that I will purse M.Tech in A.I I wanted to knkw how to proceed further. I had so many questions will my manager approve my higher education as i it doesnt add any value to them.

So whoever done Higher studies what is the process to proceed further.
