If you have good terms with your manager tell him you want release.. If not then just don't complete your task on time and take unplanned leaves..that is the only way you can get out from the project otherwise they won't release
But in this situation I suggest you to continue in the project for this financial year that is better..

If you are not interested in staying in TCS, you can approach your manager, but with the current scenario just accept the pressure of your project, as getting fired for not getting allocated that pressure will be way more than this. So your call.

Heyya good human. I do sympathise your situation. That being said currently, the issue is most of the projects are the same.
You jumping this might lead you to end up in a project much worse than the current project. However, if you are comfortable with jumping ship then you can take the gamble and force for release cause Plan B would be jumping company.
Most people asking for release if they are not project critical are being releases. But without project allocation in the required time they are getting a big target on their back.
