I want to help interviewees
I am an engineering manager will 13 YOE. I've worked in big corporates and have led multiple teams. Over my career, I have taken 150+ interviews and I've noticed a common pattern.
Engineers do very well in tech rounds thanks to the study material available online but they fail miserably in pro-fit/cultural/managerial round. They dont know what to answer and how to answer. Just yesterday I rejected someone with 20 YOE because of this reason - they failed to make a mark on us panelists.
It got me thinking that this is an area where I can help people. Coach them on how to ace such rounds. I plan to take 1hr 1-on-1 coaching sessions for the same but I would want to be rewarded for my efforts and time.
Would people be interested in this? If yes then how much would you pay per session?
Thinking about rewards in the first place won't give you a long run...you'll lose spirit and quit in mid.
Reward will follow once trust gets built, Focus area should be making an impact, building trust, reward will follow you thereafter.
Intention is most definitely to help others hence the title of the post. Had it been monetary then I would've charged 10 15k like others.
