Trending @Accenture; I want to cry 😭

Every day feels the same—relentless work pressure that’s eating away at my mental health. I keep waiting for each day to end, but the next one arrives immediately with even more work.

Recently, I had to travel to my hometown for an important family matter. After hours of continuous travel, I was completely exhausted and really needed a day to rest. However, I ended up being the only one working on Saturday while the rest of the team had the day off. It felt isolating and unfair, especially when I was already so tired.

Right now, I’m having lunch, but I can’t even taste the food. It feels like I’ve lost interest in everything because of all the work pressure. It’s like I just want to get things done so my manager will be satisfied. I don’t know what this is anymore. I give my all, I put in so much effort, and still, it’s not valued.

After working for the past two years at Level 11 with a 5.25 LPA salary, my recent appraisal was just 5%. On top of that, my variable pay, which was 15% last year, got reduced to just 6%. This means my CTC has actually decreased compared to last year.

Maybe the reason behind all this is that I’m too honest, too polite, and too sincere. I do everything that’s assigned to me without hesitation. I don’t know how to say no when someone expects something from me, and I give my full effort to deliver. I’m a simple person and a sincere employee—is that what’s affecting my health? Is my simplicity and honesty being taken for granted?

I don’t know what I’m working for anymore. Mental health isn’t valued, people aren’t valued, and we’re not even paid fairly for the work we do. I feel like I want to cry, leave everything behind, but I’m stuck. I don’t know what to do anymore.

If you can't tolerate then reduce your performance yourself and chill. Sometimes it's a better option to get rid of useless and unsupportive managers. Maybe your project will change and get the chance to work with another team..

Work for what you get paid. Don't overwork and point fingers at those slacking off. You shouldn't be burning yourself up so that others can take a day off

Don't worry dear, you need rest for few days and then start again. Prioritize your mental health as it's very very important than physical health. If possible change your project. Get an offer and switch. Do not leave your job without offer.

I had gone through the same for years too. It's Accenture or most service based companies. There's no use crying. Your tears are not worth it. My advice, start doing some certification or something different which helps you install some confidence or feel like you are achieving a new goal in life. Next along with it little by little practice DSA and start making your CV perfect based on your skill. Then just start applying everywhere. Get a good hike and get out of Accenture. If your performance is questioned just smile and say your mental health is being affected because of exhaustion. Get a medical prescription for same as proof. Drop mail with that. They can't badger you if you do that. But next year you will get PIP. Before that you will have a new job in your hands. So think positive and move on.

I understand. Give yourself a break for few days and invest your time to join some other project , even outside Accenture.

The valuable asset in the world is the MINDSET. Don't lose your mindset. If you show your sadness, weakness, to your enemies it turns against you.

Keep your mindset strong, be brave, be happy, be the best version of yourself.

Eat well, Sleep well, Learn well, Repeat. Then after this switch. You already see and know what to do, all you need is a Spark to trigger.

Good luck, god bless all. šŸ™

Hi, Most of us go through this, we just didn’t say it. That is all.

My 2 cents:

  1. Learn when to say No, read respective books. It’s important to know when to say No. Work is always given to ones who do it, so your work recognition wouldn’t be lost in vain.
  2. This time hikes are as per Accenture, your lead has nothing to do of it. Accenture allocated less budget.
  3. If possible, try for a product company and move.

Important: You are valued by your skill set, if you are strong and confident of it, take the next step. 3 years is good time in first company.

You are still getting far better than many. Stop being a cry baby and work on yourself. If u can't taste the food order something nice or cook for urself. Also, if you are that intelligent please find a new job, there will be a good hike too. My words are harsh but there is no point in writing paragraphs on the grapevine. Save it for ur life partner.
