He's seen taking him everywhere, my theory is he is using his youngest as a shield, so that people don't try to kill him and if they try it might hurt the kid and if they do succeed, it would cause a huge PR nightmare for the USA. Imagine gunning down a dude infront of his kid.

I don’t think he is using the kid as a shield, but he is using it for PR. To portray that “he is a father with kids just like us” to make some of the crazy things he says digestible.
