Trending @Infosys; I successfully cleared PIP, but this is not a motivation..

I cleared the PIP but this is not motivation, luck was in my favour. Basically I got PIP due to the last ashle manager. Short story he wanted a developer and tester in the same person and expected me to learn automation in one day..

I was removed from the project but since he was the last manager at the appraisal time he gave me a NI rating. In my new project everything is fine I completed every task on time  and requirements from the client were quite clear and I had to code properly so my TL was fine with me. When he saw my review he was also shocked and told me maybe due to some conflicts or revenge I got this rating ...
Anyways, my TL and manager were supportive and I was completing the assigned task on time as well as I was completing lex courses, certification and I had to update my progress on a daily basis and report weekly..

The reason is not always the immediate manager. It’s push from top to give NI rating to atleast 5-10% folks at each job level. Now manager is forced to fine any/some reason to give NI and off boarding from project due to performance becomes an easy target. Cause if the employee involves hr the manager is put on spot to give reason why NI was given. Only very few managers have the spine to fight against their DM and stand up for their subordinates. In fact many feel happy they see one odd escalation against someone . They go their target for end of the year. Til couple of years back there was no such pressure in managers. But from last two years it has been there. The best case is you have moved out from under the manager who gave you NI and are on billable project . Cause then your PIp result will be based on your new manager. But NI rating means no variable pay for a year and promotions held back by 2 years

If you have NI in last two year rating you will not be eligible for promotion and progression

Bro that's doesn't matter your rating will affect your stay in infosys

That's means your career progression in infy is difficult all will point out that rating it's better to switch
