I refuse to downgrade my expensive travel habits
My current salary is 65LPA. I am from NIT, have 6 years of experience and work in tech. Honestly, my spending capacity is higher than what I actually utilise but I am very clear about not compromising on comfort. When I do see peers hoarding all their cash, I feel that they are doing injustice to their hard work and playing a miserable game.
More and more though, the thought of saving every penny exhausts me a bit. I have a strict rule of booking premium flights. It gives me peace of mind to travel comfortably and freedom to arrive completely fresh But the mindset of "paisa bacha kar rakhna chahiye" still haunts my relatives.
My parents also are not dependent on me and whatever is needed from my side, I actively contribute to. I also lack any motivation to focus on extreme frugality and see my youth pass by. I just use the money in my bank account purely to fund a good life.
For me at this point, comfort is a basic necessity. There is very little that you take to the grave. And I just do not see the value in suffering anymore.

Exactly my point. It makes no sense to put in all this hard work just to keep living like a struggling college student. Comfort is completely worth the money.

No intervention needed haha. I still save around 40% of my post-tax income and have a solid portfolio. I just choose to spend my disposable income on actual comfort instead of hoarding it.
