Trending @Infosys; I need some advice: should I start looking for another job?
I’ve been in this project for only one month, and it’s scheduled for a demo next week. The previous colleagues—one who I replaced and another who is a fresher from the UK—did not complete the work properly, and around 30% of it is still pending.
I raised a risk last week stating that the fresher from the UK may not be able to complete her work on time. I also clarified that I should not be held responsible since I joined only a month ago. However, when the risk form was submitted, I was made the owner of it.
I'm still on probation, and now I’m worried they might put the entire blame on me and possibly place me on a PIP. I need some advice: should I start looking for another job?
My lead told me that if the fresher is unable to complete her work, I will have to take it over. But I’ve already mentioned that I don’t have the required skills. When I was asked to join this project, I was told I would get time to reskill myself. It now feels like the person who assigned me to this project was fully aware of the situation and placed me here to take the blame.

This looks like a normal situation not something for which you will get an NI considering you have just joined a month back. Yes you may to take more pressure to complete a work for a skill set you may not have today but then that is a challenge worth taking up.

Start looking for other job you have like quite a time to search now. Most probably they will give you NI rating and will make ur life a hell.Better prepare from now
