I need a transfer from Mumbai to Indore due to my father's excessive drinking. I want to live with my mother to provide her with the necessary care and support. How can I ask for this transfer from my manager, considering these personal circumstances?

Talk to your manager. Of he/she is OK you can get the transfer. You will need to ge the approval from your management, Mumbai RMG and indore RMG.

One question is it possible that I can report from indore office without transfer if manager approves or necessary to report from base location

If your manager is OK. You can report from indore. As of now rto will not be impacted even if you report from any other office.
