I moved abroad to earn money for buying home and financial stability

Recently i asked my wife to start saving money and also contribute to buy home financially. I don’t want to take money from my parents. Am i wrong in asking my wife money to contribute money for our house?

I don’t give her any pocket money as she herself earns and i don’t think there is any need for me to give her money.
