I met someone who was on Bench for almost 2 years ðŸ˜
Was talking to them and apparently this is what happened.
Month 1 - Joined the org and went into training Month 3 - Training completed bench begins. Month 5 - First Project Interview Month 7 - They get a project and start receiving KT. Month 9 - Project Extension gets cancelled by client
Month 10 - On bench again Month 15 - Project Interview again Month 17 - Accepted in new project Month 18 - Payment delays from client end
Month 20 - Project is finalized and is about to start. Month 21 - Guy decides to resign after getting a new job knowing that this is bad for his career.
Has anyone heard of this happening?
No, in Infosys my cousin was in bench for Long time not in TCS

Basically projects and leadership team do this.
In my project they hire some freshers in November or December and release them in March saying budget issues and performance issues
