I'm thinking of moving to Data science/AI roles from hardware.

Is this a right move , considering the current AI advancements and current job market?

My thoughts are, for the time I'm putting in my job and the skillset I have ( both hw and sw) I can earn more in sw industry... looking at the salaries.

HW industry needs more skills, but somehow the work culture and pay that I'm currently having they're too bad.

Any thoughts?
