I'm a fresher and got IPF 3.44 even after working hard. Should I take release from project? But the role and project I'm working is good.

I have joined JLR in a new project as a Salesforce developer. We don't have any KT but some how learned the technology and working hard. Also I'm from South India who doesn't know hindi working at tcs pune. All of the team meetings will be in hindi still I managed to learn Hindi some what now I'm able to understand atleast. Despite of doing all this I got very less IPF which may effect my grade(not sure) which effects my wings examination also. I'm not getting as a fresher how should I handle this situation? I was so low when I saw my IPF. My scrum master is the person who's playing politics and she has discrimination of North and South people. She intentionally decreased my rating. No clue what to do. Please suggest.

I'd say that you talk to your scrum master/manager head on and get it up straight, don't hesitate, don't be afraid, politely ask to connect regarding the rating they have given. Put forward these points you mentioned in the post. Nothing good is going to come if you keep mum. And nothing worse can happen, your rating is already low.

I have already done that. I have created a group for both my supervisor and scrum master and discussed about this. She mentioned that rating once given cannot be changed.

Last year I've received A band with 3.58 IPF.

Really?? I heard that A band will be given only if IPF>4 is that not true?

IPF ratings and bands are to just show-off.

For the last 2 years I got 4.13 IPF and above stil I got B band.

This year the manager got changed. The new manager asked my Last year band and IPF so he was shocked at how this could happen.

So the band IPF ratings are a scam. Even after getting 4.5 IPF ratings people get B band and

Less than 4% hike.

Dude just chill out you said you are a fresher you haven't seen how worse these office politics go just ask them but don't argue and you said your project is ending so try to get a good and long term project next time where there will be dependency on you just like your seniors are doing now i think you may have observed they won't help you and will tell they are busy follow the same when you got experience if you don't keep dependency on you you may receive even low rating but keep on learning

Ok tnx and also I have cleared my process and articulation in wings1. Only tech exam was left. If I get C band will I not be eligible for wings1?

Try to get in the good books of your TL so that future IPF will be better. If that is not feasible after completing few years try to get release and look for alternate projects. Best wishes.

My project is going to end soon. It's a short term project of 1 year. I have been in the project from day 1 and gave my best. It's going to complete at March end.

Regarding the communication, you always ask them to discuss in English, that's not wrong. If you never stop them, then they think you understand Hindi or you don't have any issues. So better fix that part.

And next, band and rating sometimes matters but not always, it depends on account to account for the hike.
