I loved my manager, but he ended up getting me laid-off!

At 27 (F), I was thriving as a Software Development Engineer at an elite startup, excelling in my work. Within eight months, my hard work paid off with a raise and multiple bonuses. A significant part of my success was due to my manager—more than just a boss, he was my mentor, guide, and sometimes, harshest critic.
