I lied on my unemployment gaps

Hi,

I recently clear all tech interviews and tmrw is my hr round.

I written in my resume that my last working day was 31st dec 2023. But i work till 31st oct 2023.

Will it affect my candidature. I did it because i was not getting calls due these gaps and uncertain market.

Please let me know how can i tell her the truth and my situation.

You need to be transparent,I had an 8 month gap.During these 8 months I was studying ai course,(Also had surgery).Most of my employers thought I was working in a different company,since I included it on my resume to fill gaps. I made sure to let them know that it was a course.At the end of the day,Good companies won't mind gaps.So don't worry be transparent.
