I hope you never find me

Hey girl,

If you expect me to respect your parents while you can’t respect mine, I hope you never find me.

If after all the care and affection, you still call it a “vibe mismatch”, I hope you never find me.

If even after marriage, you still want a boyfriend or clingy male “best friends”, I hope you never find me.

If you’re too busy with work to spend time with me, but never miss team lunches and outings, I hope you never find me.

If you’re constantly looking for a better deal, even after we’ve spent meaningful time together, I hope you never find me.

If our happiness and sadness aren’t meant to be shared and felt together, I hope you never find me.

I’m 26, and it honestly shakes my heart to see people switch partners so easily, like it’s just for fun. That’s not something I’ll ever understand or be okay with.

Because when I say yes to “my girl,” I mean it. I’ll respect your parents like my own. I won’t look for anyone else, my focus will be you. I’ll make time for you and for us. You’ll be my peace, my home, my vibe.

So if you’re not ready for that kind of love, I hope you never find me.

Eh where's the fairness though

The bride has to leave her home and come live at your place. So even if you're treating her parents like your own, it's still different since you both will be living away from her parents.

Thoughts?

What do you understand by the literal meaning of "respect"?

Did you just assume that the bride will be leaving her home and staying at the guy's place after marriage?? That too just by the word "respect"? 🙃

Clarification: I used "respect" only in a sense that someone should talk with basic respect. Thats it.

No other interpretations are supposed to be drawn.
