I have received D band

I am performing pretty decently for a year, due to work allocation issues I have raised a concern with my manager , he was rude and the discussion was not that smooth. And he has a grudge on me. Due to this in my appraisal He gave me D Band which states that I am under performer. He didn't even inform me about the feedback, without any feedback on how anyone can give a Low rating. What can I do now?

Can we do that if we get low band? I got c band i was working pretty well, 9hrs in office as well. Now i am feeling like taking release from the project.
How to do that?
