@RandomDev nothing irresponsible in that, it's just a human error it can happen with anyone. He is just asking for help in this situation. He must be already upset in this situation so instead of calling him irresponsible we can always help him for the solution

Report as incident and someone from your base location will get in touch with you. If it’s covered under accidental warranty it will be fixed by hp or dell guy visiting your home or they will fix in office. In some cases they ask for payment or charge code
