I have fucked up my career and I feel like ending it all

I was a tier 1 bschool grad of the pre-Covid batch. Got laid off in the first couple of months when I joined. Then I joined another company and it being an MNC, the culture was great. However, there was no learning and I panicked and quit. I joined another company and the culture was really shit. Ended up grinding out 3 years and fucked up my mental health and career reputation during it.

Now, in another job. Can't focus, can't do my job properly, keep taking week long mental health leaves. HR decided to let me go. My roles have been very inconsistent. The job market is shit. Even if I land an interview, I can't ever convert it. I have no skills.

I can't see a way out. I think that I should end it. No light.

Life is bigger than career. Don't make it all about your job. Giving up isn't a solution.

Sometimes before we win the world, we have to win ourselves. From your post it looks like you are suffering from mental health, focus. Try analyzing yourself. See what you need to improve these areas. You have done this in the past, you can do it again. But first you need to be there for yourself.

What worked for me was taking a break. Try and not do anything for 6 months, don't look for another job, just sit and reflect why you think this is happening & where do you think you would find happiness.

If you are from a Tier 1 b-school, you definitely have the brains, maybe just what you are doing in not fulfilling enough.

DM if you need anything.

I've been through almost the same journey(I don't want to compare your trauma with mine, but to be honest, mine is a little worse), and I'm sort of stuck in my career. It is difficult to stay hopeful, but we humans are born to be resilient; we can always try; there are bigger things in life than a successful, smooth career. Most companies are toxic; how about building something of your own? You can build your non-toxic company. Times are tough, but don't undervalue your previous achievements; you did your MBA from tier 1, as you said; you definitely must have talent, skills, discipline or whatever it takes to be there. Don't let these circumstances define you. Yes, grieving loss(lost time or success) is important, but don't let the grief consume you. Take the help of a therapist, or if you are a spiritual person, trust god or the universe (that path should also work); you don't have to suffer alone. Write your past achievements somewhere and always go back to them to remind yourself of your capabilities or good things about yourself. Maybe you might be in the wrong job, too, so give yourself time and figure out what you really like doing or how you can sustain in the same field by improving in your non-strength areas(like dealing with toxic people at work or how not let others toxicity hurt you and so on ).

Mental peace is what you need now and little stability with switches.

Not a a Tier 1 person, but can relate to the situation. Can you please share your resume or share a link on dm? Let me go through, maybe we can bridge points and get in place.

Bro, you have been in a single company for 3 years. Your resume is not bad as you think is, and take some break, budget your savings.

When you feel better start job search, just start somewhere. Prioritise WLB over salary, learning
