I have been working for 4 years in infy ,how to get promoted from JL 5 TO JL 6 ,please. Advice
Progression had been done 2 years back,3 times I have got cmd rating ,how to move on further
Moving from 5 to 6 is not a linear concept. Ratings alone won't help... Multiple other factors like Budget, Your criticality, Rapport with Manager, contribution in project and Unit etc etc needs to be alligned...
Even if all above factors are taken care of Politics will pitch in like an eclipse. So yeah, constantly keep your manager informed about your expectations... Get a timeline... If you see your case not moving forward.. go for switch .
Tell your manager that you are interested in exploring other positions via stepup. Then start searching for open positions in stepup app. Either, current manager will promote or tou can find your worth in another internal team as JL6
