I have been told to give forced resignation last month by my company and now recruiting HRs are asking for notice period. How to handle?

Hi all, i have been asked to give forced resignation(kind of layoffs) by my company and my resignation also approved by my previous company, also I got my relieve letter. So while job hunting via Naukri, HR asked first on telephone call about my notice period. What should I tell them??

I am in deep stress, anxiety and depression. Pls help guys 🙏 😭

Always be professional. You should mention you’re on notice. If you have resigned, even by force , then on record it will be a voluntary resignation. You can inform the HR you wanted a change/break and hence you put in papers even before an offer outside. Don’t hide the fact that you’re on notice
