I have been in TCS as user designer for almost 3 yrs now. How do I ask for promotion or leave?

My current CTC is 7lpa. And the grade is C1 and it's been 3 whole years almost. The growth is so slow. How do I ask for promotion? Or should I just look for other company with good hike? How much hike can I expect elsewhere?

Talk to your manager/supervisor. Even if they are ready for promotion, max you will 15%. Calculate your CTC and compare it with Market, you can decide accordingly if you want to switch or stay

Your YOE multiplied by 2.5 is your true worth in the market. But TCS promotion and hike % don't exceed market standards. Promotion will be automatically initiated by the supervisors based on the quota provided to them per quarter. Since yours is a junior level promotion, it is much easier compared to the senior ones. Hike percentage from C1 to C2 Will be around 10-15% max 20%. But you're guaranteed with 100% QVA until C2.
