Trending @Capgemini; I have a career related query.
It's gonna be almost 4 yrs now since I joined Capgemini as a fresher. And soon after completing my training I got into a project and have been working in the same project ever since. I have been receiving positive feedback from the client due to my work ethics and commitment and have always received Exceptional ratings in my YERs ever since I joined the project.
We are working on IBM MDM domain in the project. We are using Java in our project but for a major part of my time in the project I was not heavily involved in the development. Even when I was working on the development the changes were not that major like it was just modifying the existing base code to incorporate the new requirements and business logic. Nothing from scratch as such.
Now I want to switch but I'm not able to find much openings related to my domain or technology. Even for Java, as I have completed almost 4yrs now in the industry, their expectation is very high. So I'm not sure now what to do. I need a guidance

This company is worst for freshers. In most of the project freshers don't get the opportunity to learn. All the cheap and low quality works given to the freshers. Just for the sake of bilabililty they'll keep in the project. Managers also want don't want to involve freshers. Initially I thought, once I'll nove to other project then there will be some learning. This is my third project and in all the projects cases are same. "Not so much learning". I'll recommend everyone to join Capgemini after 4-5 years of experience then things will be good for you.

To be honest, MDM is good domain, you can learn Informatica MDM, Ataccama, Profisse etc. do some certificates like Informatica MDM, Ataccama Consumer and professional, Profisse. its nice that you have a good experience in MDM and with these certificates you will get best opptys.
We were actually doing a POC on Ataccama last year for a potential migration from IBM MDM to Ataccama but there was a pause in between and haven't received any update since. And I am currently doing a course in Profisee actually.

Try every single day to learn something on your own and switch to a different company. Here appraisal are also given like 2%. If you ask management, they also don't know where the problem is. No one is answerable.
I got decent appraisal actually. Ignoring my fresher year, I got around 30% hike in both the appraisals while I was in the project. It's only the technical growth that I'm concerned about
