I have a 7 year academic gap but right now I'm doing MCA so what do I need to do to get a job in IT as java developer quickly from scratch?

I passed my graduation in 2017 but due to government preparation I had a long gap but to start a new career in IT I am doing MCA and this year is my final year so which path should I follow for java developer role so that I can get a good job within 6 months to 1 year????

What kind of question is this?

  1. U decided to pursue MCA
  2. Questioning how will you get a job.

Don’t you think you should have asked the second question earlier, before deciding to pursue MCA?

You wasted your 7 years , now getting into IT for a job only. Brother , SAD to say ,IT is no more for JOB seekers … its about passionate people only… if you can sit for 12hrs to deploy a code on production and wait until its running smoothly . Fixing the bugs… in calls you are suggesting new approach or new architecture or any innovation in every sprint planning calls … then you are welcome… if you think just learning one framework will help you … no its not happening now it will be automated and you will be kicked out… Don’t get me wrong … but it is how it is… Listen before any career transition ask your self after age of 45-50 will you be ready to learn new thing? After age 50 will you be go for MS? but that the reality… in each phase you have to learn new things and adapt to the changing dimension in IT. Solution;- It may work.

  1. go for MBA from tier 1 college, ONLY tier 1. 2)to any Masters on AI/ML or DATA related stuffs .(specialisation)

How can someone go for MCA … and ask for a job probability in Current market situation that to as a Java developer. Bcs i know the pain as a java backend dev🤣…

There is no job for freshers… only if they learn any DATA /AI ML or cutting edge technology.

I may sound really harsh… but sorry … cant help…

I don't know what's your thought process but I seem you have very negative things yeah I know that there is no job for fresher but it's not impossible brother If a child is getting a job, then isn't he also a human being? It's not that a job can't be found, but I have thought about it. And as far as coding is concerned, a person goes into any field only after gathering information about it. Brother, if I can study for 17 hours in State PSC, then why think about it for 20 hours here? I haven't even thought about it that much, but hmm, one needs the will to do some work .

  1. Very good decision that you did MCA after your gap.
  2. Dont sit with the expectations that - I should get x amount of salary as I am old, when will I settle etc.
  3. Being employed> getting good salary.
  4. Research about companies that need your skill and directly contact the tech heads in those companies. Start with an internship.
  5. In industry compatibility > extra ordinary skills. People can learn skills but developing right attitude is difficult. So aim for an internship.. even if it pays < 25k. But try not going to companies that ask you to work for free..those are unethical.
