Some of the highlights of my 3 years here as a software engineer:

Most of my time here has been on the bench. I begged to be staffed...no one cares. My advice to people on the bench is to forget trying to get a new role and use the time to find a new job.

Not having any control over my career direction. They're constantly throwing different skillsets at you (AWS, then data science, now GenAI). The minute I feel I'm becoming proficient at one thing, they switch me to some other project. It's exhausting and not good for career development. Looking at other job postings, they typically want a software engineer with a specialty.

No same-level raises, despite crazy inflation. What a joke.

I am joining a new company and they are giving mac book.I have 5 offers.Joining here only for the mac book.I am done with these basic laptops.I feel low because of these outdated laptops in the workplace.
Dell latitude is the worst laptop I ever worked on too!! Shitty computers
