Trending @Wipro; I got my offer letter almost 1.5 months back and post that there’s hardly any communication with wipro HR

Hi everyone,

I have 4.7 years of experience and received an offer letter from Wipro in March. Initially, I received emails requesting document submission, which I completed. However, since then, I haven’t received any further communication—no check-in emails or any pre-joining formalities.

My joining date is 23rd May, and I’m beginning to get concerned due to the lack of updates. I reached out to the recruiter, and last month I was told that a call would be scheduled. I followed up again today and received the same response. The recruiter also asked if I could join earlier, but I declined since my last working day at my current company is the 21st.

I’m unsure if this is standard practice during Wipro’s hiring process, but I haven’t even received a background verification completion email yet. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Yes, this is common. I have the same experience. You will get email related to your first day on-boarding details one day before your joining date.

Thanks, but to be honest it’s quite nerve wracking, especially since other companies usually schedule calls to discuss the process or provide updates. Here it’s almost zero.

Yes, I agree, lack of communication keeps you thinking and brings all sorts of negative thoughts. But, wipro is not the only company, I had similar experience with some other companies as well in my career. Only thing we can do is provide constructive feedback where possible and then hope someone in the HR team might actually work on the feedback and improve on-boarding experience.

Yes, this is a standard process these days. They take interviews of lots of candidates for just one vacancy and then give false hopes to the selected candidates by asking documents (and/or bh initiating BGV process). But they select only one candidate out of those many candidates. So instead of waiting, start looking other opportunities.
