I feel like I have failed in life by joining Deloitte. Anyone else feel this way in Big4?

I just cant handle the pressure and the stress in this role. I am working so hard that I have ZERO work life balance. The entire day just goes in meetings and meetings. I think that I don't know anything and am extremely worried about my future.

The work pressure is a lot here, deadlines are too tight and I have been vomiting from stress at night. The worst part is, Deloitte never pays for over time.

Anyone else feeling this in other Big4s? I want to switch ASAP or I will die here.

Try Product based company or atleast not Big 4, I have heard EY is also too much ( in terms of work pressure) but definitely it depends on Projects

This feeling is pretty normal. The work pressure that comes in big 4 is relatively high. Tight Target deadlines and high quality work is something which can be daunting. Love to connect with you and discuss further.

BTW what is ur base location?

Are you like from a v poor background or your daily food depends on this job? Even then it is highly questionable to do a job that's making you vomit at night. What's the point of earning crores and then die at 40 with the first heart attack?

Move on from this. It doesn't matter what your social circle thinks. Market is not good at the moment but cybersecurity is a recession independent area.

Switch to a bank if you work in cybersecurity. Going to another big4 will probably be the same. Wlb is bad for all consulting companies

Do some additional cyber security courses and take the leap. There are too many companies with this job profile. You will be better off.

I felt the same too at one of the big4. Please prioritise your health. I quit big 4 and now I'm on a break. It's a highly competitive environment. I remember once I put a section in column D instead of B, once I marked PY stamp in a different colour than what was told to me, and such petty things - and if I would do these things incorrectly, they would lash out on me. My friend's father was hospitalized and she was sitting outside and was working. No matter what happens in life, if it's the busy season going on,, they would not let us take leaves. and once the busy season is over, they would put us in the busy season of a different team so out of 12 months, for around 8-9 months we're working in the busy season of one or the other team and basically we used to work all day all night.

I couldn't enjoy my real brother's wedding peacefully as I knew once I'm back, my email would be flooded. And that's what happened, when I came back, my email was flooded with things like why haven't you done this, you cannot take leaves etc etc. If I would raise any concern in the team, they would start threatening me or they would just say it's all professional nothing personal. I feel corporates is not for me i guess
