I built a habit app after my 9-5 and somehow it reached ~3k installs
about a year ago i had a simple problem - i couldn't stay consistent with habits.
i tried a bunch of habit tracker apps but many felt either too complex or everything useful was behind subscriptions. so after work one night i started building a small app for myself.
no big startup idea. no launch plan.
just something i wanted to use personally. slowly it became HabitHook.
most of it was built late nights after office, sometimes making progress... sometimes just fixing bugs and wondering why i started
recently i opened the play console and saw something i honestly didn't expect - almost 3k installs.
for a solo dev project that started as "just for me", that felt huge. the idea behind the app is simple: track habits join challenges with others leaderboards for motivation basically trying to make habit building feel less lonely. still improving things every week and learning a lot from feedback.
if anyone here enjoys trying indie apps or breaking things would love your thoughts.

Your friends do this with you?

Wondering if it was "just for me", why did you build, challenges with others and the leaderboard?
